Rui Oliveira Alves
At SÉRVULO since 2018, Rui Oliveira Alves is an associate in Litigation department, where he joined as a trainee lawyer, and works mainly in the areas of criminal and regulatory offences litigation, as well as on matters related to legal compliance. He holds a Scientific Master’s Degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Studies, from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, since 2023. At the same Faculty, he attended, in 2023, the IV Postgraduate Course in Law Enforcement, Compliance and Corporate Responsibility and the Postgraduate Course in Bioethics, in 2018. He obtained his Degree in Law in 2017. Member of the Criminal Forum since 2022. Researcher at the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences (IDPCC) of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, since 2024. He joined the Bar Association in 2021.
Relevant Experience
Criminal litigation, both on the side of the defence and of the prosecution, with a special focus on: white-collar crimes (corporate and of employees; crimes against property and honour crimes).
Litigation related to administrative offences, especially with regard to the following regulated areas: competition, banking, securities markets, telecoms, media and environment.
Preparation of compliance programmes focusing on the prevention of money laundering and corruption.
