Mariana Costa Pinto
At SÉRVULO since 2019, Mariana Costa Pinto, is Partner in the Litigation, Life Sciences, TMT & Intellectual Property departments. She holds a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon in which she also obtained a graduate qualification in Law. She was an associate at «Anselmo Vaz, Afra & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL », between 2008 and 2019, and also at Teresa Anselmo Vaz’s office, between 2006 and 2007. She started her professional career at the law firm « João Nabais & Associados - Sociedade de Advogados R.L. », as a trainee lawyer, from 2004 to 2006. She has been appointed a member of the AIPPI - International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, and JALP - Associação Internacional de Jovens Advogados de Língua Portuguesa. She joined the Bar Association in 2006.
Relevant Experience
Legal adviser to several national and international companies (namely multinationals, including pharmaceutical) in matters related with Industrial Property rights, specifically patents (national and European patents), unfair competition and in regulatory matters;
Representing Clients in IP judicial and arbitration disputes, particularly in patents, trademarks and authorship rights, including nullity and annulment of IP rights and infringements claims;
Representing clients in civil and commercial disputes and legal assistance in insolvency and recovery procedures.
