Portugal has been a popular destination for Brazilian nationals. There is an evident affinity between Portugal and Brazil, based on the historical, cultural and linguistic ties that unite the two countries. On the other hand, as a member of the European Union, Portugal offers Brazilian investors access to a market of 27 countries with around 450M consumers.

Our lawyers have extensive experience in advising Brazilian companies and private clients who wish to invest or settle in Portugal, advising them in the most diverse areas and matters related to their investments or their relocation to Portugal: acquisition or incorporation of companies, property purchase and lease, golden visa, Portuguese nationality applications, financial investments, identification of the tax benefits existing in Portugal and non-habitual residents’ regime application (in some cases), among others.

The Portuguese golden visa program, in particular, has become a very popular tool for Brazilian investors, due to its flexibility and the benefits granted.
