The Future of the Financial System

The Financial System was the theme of the last of the four Conferences designed to mark Sérvulo's twenty years in business. João Gião gave the opening speech and was followed by the panel team: Isabel Ucha, José Veiga Sarmento, Marco Lebre and Afonso Eça – who discussed the Future of the Capital Market and Alternative Mechanisms for Bank Financing, in a debate chaired by Paulo Câmara. In the second panel, António Ramalho, Miguel Maya, Paulo Macedo and Pedro Castro e Almeida discussed the Future of Banking, with Manuel Magalhães in the chair. However, the event’s highpoint was Luís Máximo dos Santos's final intervention on the challenges of the future.
