The 2nd Penal Forum of the Portuguese Legal Profession

The 2nd Penal Forum of the Portuguese Legal Profession will be held in Peniche on 15 and 16 November.

 

Cláudia Amorim, Lawyer and Partner at SÉRVULO and President of the Board of the Penal Forum, and Fernanda de Almeida Pinheiro, President of the Portuguese Bar Association, will open the event. Closing remarks will be made by Nuno Brandão, Lawyer and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and Chairman of the General Assembly of Forum Penal, and Germano Marques da Silva, Lawyer and Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University and Coordinator of the Advisory Board of Forum Penal. 

 

During the two-day event, the following topics will be analysed:

 

• Electronic correspondence and the recent case law of the Constitutional Court
• Cryptocurrencies and criminal investigation
• The procedural dimension of confiscation without conviction and of third party assets
• Criminal compliance: what does the future hold?
• The Portuguese prison system in the light of the Petrescu case
• The new challenges of social networks
