Sérvulo participates in arbitration conference

The arbitration conference I Jornadas Arbitrais takes place in Lisbon on September 24. The event will cover the theme of defence of unjust arbitrations. The conference is organized by the Private Law Research Centre (CIDP - Centro de Investigação de Direito Privado) of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, in collaboration with the Arbitration Centre of the Lisbon Commercial and Industrial Association and with the Portuguese Arbitration Association.

The conference, which is coordinated by Professor António Menezes Cordeiro and Professor Luís de Lima Pinheiro, is focused on four main themes: the arbitrator’s refusal; the incompetency of the arbitration court; expenses and fees; and cancellation.

António Teles, partner of SÉRVULO’s Litigation and Arbitration department, is one of the specialist speakers who will take part in the 4th panel, covering the theme of lack of a statement of reasons.

The event takes place at the auditorium of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
