Sérvulo Correia receives Grand Cross of the Order of Public Instruction

The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, yesterday awarded Professor Sérvulo Correia with the Grand Cross of the Order of Public Instruction, the highest honorary title of the order in question, for his relevant contribution to law and investigation.
During the ceremony, President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa highlighted the academic and civic and solidarity vocation of the recipient, mentioning, as an example, the important defense of Timor-Leste's interests at the invitation of the Portuguese Government.
The President also mentioned Sérvulo Correia as one of the founders of the European family of Public Law Teachers, for his close connection to the European Public Law Group and one of the pioneers in bringing the legal thinking of the Lisbon and Coimbra "schools" closer together.
Sérvulo Correia, founding partner of SÉRVULO, has extensive experience as a lawyer and jurisconsult in matters of administrative law, regulation and public contracting. He acts regularly as an arbitrator in matters of Public Law and Commercial Law. He has been a member of the panel of arbitrators of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (The Hague) since 2005.
