Sérvulo & Associados organizes legal conference in the Azores

SÉRVULO inaugurated its new offices in Ponta Delgada with the conference “Azores: a legal reflection”.

On the occasion of the recent inauguration of the new offices in Ponta Delgada, SÉRVULO organized the conference “Azores: a legal reflection”. Different matters of regional reach and relevance were addressed, covering political and constitutional guidelines, regionalism and regional autonomy, the specificities of regional public contracts, regional labour legislation, corporate governance and environmental protection.

The conference took place at the University of the Azores. Participants included the Regional Secretary for the Economy, Vasco Cordeiro, of the Mayor of Ponta Delgada, Berta Cabral, the President of the National Commission for the Commemoration of the Centenary of the Republic, Artur Santos Silva, as well as a number of national and international specialists, namely Prof. João Caupers and Prof. Luíz Maria Díez-Picazo, judge at the Supreme Court of Spain. The conference was made up of several discussion panels, which were moderated by the Chairman of the Board of SATA, Prof. António Gomes de Menezes, and by José Romão Leite Braz, director of FINANÇOR SGPS.
