Sérvulo & Associados has a new managing partner

On February 25th, 2011, SÉRVULO approved its own transition to a single managing partner model, and Pedro Furtado Martins was elected to this position. During his mandate, which will begin in April and will last for two years, Pedro Furtado Martins will preside over Sérvulo’s Executive Board, which further includes partners Ricardo Guimarães and João Saúde.

Pedro Furtado Martins has been a senior partner at SÉRVULO since the 2008 merger between Sérvulo Correia & Associados and Ferreira Pinto & Associados. Furtado Martins was also a senior partner at the latter firm.

Furtado Martins is an employment law specialist, and he has been a lecturer at the Law Faculty of the Lisbon Catholic University since 1982. He is a Presiding Arbitrator at the Economic and Social Council, acting on behalf of employers, and he was also a member of the Commission for the White Paper on Labour Relations, which in 2006 and 2007 was entrusted with revising the Labour Code.
