Rui Medeiros takes part in the XIII International Meeting on Reinsurance

The Portuguese Association of Insurers organized the XIII International Meeting on Reinsurance, running from 24 to 27 May 2010, combined with the second edition of the event “Portugal Seguro”. Rui Medeiros, partner at SÉRVULO, was invited to be one of the speakers at today’s morning session, giving a paper on the civil responsibility of the State.

The event “Portugal Seguro” took place for the first time in 2008 and this second edition will see the participation of specialists in relevant areas of Portuguese economy and society, creating therefore a platform to debate ideas and opinions and to explore more deeply issues that may be of interest to the general public and to the insurance sector specifically.

By combining the organization of these two events into one, the Portuguese Association of Insurers (APS - Associação Portuguesa de Seguradores) thereby lends it a wider reach, bringing together national and international specialists and opening the event to civil society, as well as highlighting to the public at large the importance of the sector and in this way contributing to citizens’ financial education.
