Rui Medeiros and João Saúde, partners in the Public Law and Arbitration departments, and the Litigation and Arbitration department at SÉRVULO, respectively, will participate in the 1st Lusophone Arbitration Congress – Macau 2024.
This congress, which has the central theme "Harmonization in Sino-Lusophone Arbitration: Uniting Legal Cultures and Expanding Opportunities," will take place from October 10 to 12 at the University of Saint Joseph in Macau and is organized by ALAM – the Lusophone Association of Arbitration and Mediation.
This event, of significant importance in the Lusophone space, is under the high patronage of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries in Macau and has the support of the Consulates and Embassies of Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and East Timor.
Rui Medeiros will be a speaker on the panel discussing the "Global State of Arbitration in the Lusophone World and in China," while João Saúde will address the topic "Arbitration in Portugal – Legal Landscape and General Perspective."
The congress will be streamed online, bringing together approximately 150 to 200 participants.
