João Saúde, partner of SÉRVULO’s Litigation and Arbitration department, was recently nominated as one of the arbitrators of the Mediation and Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Brazil. The position was conferred by the president of said institution.
Established in 1912 in São Paulo, the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Brazil (CPCB - Câmara Portuguesa de Comércio no Brasil) has as its mission to support and promote commercial relationships between Portuguese and Brazilian businesses, and it represents a significant number of members from a variety of different sectors. Through its Mediation and Arbitration Centre, the CPCB offers its members an alternative and reliable solution in the area of commercial dispute resolution both at a national and an international level.
In spite of it being part of the CPCB, the activity of the Mediation and Arbitration Centre is not limited to resolving disputes emerging from commercial relations between Portuguese and Brazilian enterprises, but it is also present in resolving relationships between Brazilian businesses and that of other countries.
