João Saúde appointed to the Panel of Arbitrators of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA)

The Partner of the Litigation and Arbitration department at Sérvulo & Associados, João Saúde, has been appointed to the panel of Arbitrators of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) and also as a recommended Arbitrator by the South China International Arbitration Center in Hong Kong (SCIAHK). The lawyer's knowledge and experience were highlighted by the Shenzhen International Arbitration Center, which formed the basis for this appointment. 

With over 25 years of experience in dispute resolution, João Saúde is the contact point for SÉRVULO with China and Cathay Associates. "It is a privilege to join the panel of arbitrators of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, which currently represents 129 countries and regions, and to be available to conduct international arbitration proceedings, particularly in Portuguese," the lawyer emphasizes. 

Founded in 1983, the SCIA is the first arbitration institution in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau region. It epitomizes China's reform and opening-up, the development of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SEZ), and the collaboration between Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR.  In 2021, the SCIA added "GBA International Arbitration Center" as one of its official names to deepen cooperation with the Hong Kong SAR and the Macau SAR, so as to together develop into an international arbitration hub in the world.
