Governance Lab takes part in the international seminar “Information in Capital Markets in Cape Verde”

The international seminar “Information in Capital Markets in Cape Verde” takes place on October 27 and 28 at the Hotel Praia Mar (Praia, Cape Verde).

SÉRVULO Managing Partner Paulo Câmara, who also coordinates Governance Lab, will make two interventions, on Financial Literacy and Information in Capital Markets, and on Information in Portuguese-Speaking Capital Markets: perspectives and trends.

The seminar is a joint initiative between the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Cape Verde/Securities Market Auditing Authority and the Cape Verde Stock Exchange, and is also supported by the LuxDev delegation in Cape Verde, and the Institute of Securities of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. The main purpose of this initiative is to raise awareness and promote the development of the Financial System of Cape Verde through a better understanding of the role of information in capital markets.

During the session of October 28, the new book by Governance Lab on the governance of corporations in lusophone legal systems will also be launched, “A Governação das Sociedades Anónimas nos Sistemas Jurídicos Lusófonos”, Governance Lab’s first work with international scope and ambitions. At the launch will be Paulo Câmara, Raquel Medina, Hugo Moredo Santos and José Ferreira Gomes, all members of Governance Lab.
