Governance Lab organises seminar

NEWS AND EVENTS 06 Oct 2011

Governance Lab, a collaboration between the Portuguese Catholic University and Almedina, is organising a seminar on corporate governance and launching a book on the same subject: “O Governo das Organizações: A Vocação Expansiva do Corporate Governance” (“The governance of organisations: the expanding vocation of corporate governance”). The event takes place at the Law Faculty of the Portuguese Catholic University, on October 12, 2011, from 9am.

This conference is dedicated to the growing expansion of the rules and recommendations on corporate governance relating to a wide number of organizational models, and will also be an opportunity for Governance Lab to present the book it authored, book that shares its title with the seminar, and which was published by leading Portuguese legal publisher Almedina.

Governance Lab is a group dedicated to critically reflecting on and researching, from a legal perspective, issues to do with the governance of organisations, be they public or private, thereby trying to actively contribute to the development of the related practices, recommendations and rules. The group is composed of 33 members who come from a variety of different backgrounds, which include law firms, higher education institutions, and other public institutions, but who always act independently.

SÉRVULO is represented by Paulo Câmara and by Ana Filipa Morais Antunes.
