Durão Barroso participates in Legalink Conference

The non-executive chairman of Goldman Sachs was in Lisbon this Friday to attend an international meeting of lawyers.

Durão Barroso tries to answer a question that he is often asked to address. "Do you believe that globalization will end because of nationalism, wars and identity problems?" But it ends up putting the challenge to the audience composed by international members of Legalink , which includes SÉRVULO, the law firm that organized the conference.  

"What will the world be like in 10, 20 or 30 years?", asked Durão Barroso. "Are we going to have more commercial and financial exchanges, international travel, data transmission, sharing of scientific and technological knowledge?" […] For the former President of the Commission, it is normal to have some resistance where there is change. "I'm optimistic and confident. I believe there will be progress, "but the path is not easy. "This is a rough road, so tighten your seatbelts," warned.
