Competition Authority Gives Sérvulo & Associados reason in denounce.

Abuses in the dominant position in the sale of tomato seeds in industrial markets are condemned by the Competition Authority.

In a recently released statement, the position of the Competition Authority has now given reason to SÉRVULO Competition nucleus, lead by partner Miguel Gorjão-Henriques, as he forwarded a denounce against Sugalidal, in June of 2008, for abuse of  dominant position. The condemnation was confirmed by the independent evaluation of the Competition Authority, who recognized that Sugalidal has a dominant position in several market products and, principally, that the practice of imposing the acquisition of Heinz seeds constituted an abuse of the dominant position incompatible with the free and competitive market. Throughout the process strict client confidentiality was assured.
