Annotated Code on Tourism Investments

SÉRVULO associate Joana Pinto Monteiro has just published the Annotated Code on Tourism Investments, which already considers the last amendment introduced by Law nº228/2009 of September 14.

This work stands out not only because there is a paucity of published material on this subject, but above all because it is the result of a process of reflection arising from the daily practice of creating legal frameworks for tourism investments. These two factors make the Annotated Code on Tourism Investments a relevant tool for a wide audience which includes lawyers and tourism professionals. Tourism is an area currently marked by the need to adapt to trends towards simplification and streamlining, adopted by the public administration, and it is a sector which is expected to play an important role in the national economic recovery.

Joana Pinto Monteiro’s practice covers Environmental Law, Urbanism and Real Estate as well as Financial and Governance. She has been a Guest Lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of Lisbon since 2008, where she is currently preparing her doctoral thesis, having completed post-graduation and a master’s courses at the same university.
