APDE and University of Porto (FDUP) co-organize Conference: “European Union 2019 – The year of all choices”

The year of 2019 is critical for the European Union, for its political and economic project, and also for its values and fundamental principles: Brexit’s fate, the EP’s electoral results, the political and commercial tension between the EU and USA, the redefinition of the post-2020 new financial framework. There are significant risks. Similarly, the future of Europe and the European Union, as well as the Europeans’, can be redefined for decades to come.

The FDUP (Faculty of Law of the University of Porto), in liaison with APDE (Portuguese Association on European Law), takes part in the debate of those pivotal subjects and organizes a Conference which will have as its main theme “European Union 2019, the year of all choices”, scheduled for 2:30pm, on May 2nd 2019, at its Amphitheatre 001.

The Conference shall have as participants Diogo Feio and Alberto Saavedra, respectively partner and senior associate at SÉRVULO, as well as Francisco Assis (Member of the European Parliament) and Fernando Freire de Sousa (President of CCDR-N). Graça Enes and Marta Chantal Ribeiro, FDUP lecturers, will be moderating the debate. The entrance is free.
