Rui Medeiros and Pedro Fernández Sánchez take part in Luso-Brazilian Congress

Rui Medeiros, Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal and partner in SÉRVULO’s Public Law department, and Pedro Fernández Sánchez, Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and associate in the same department, are two of the speakers at the Luso-Brazilian Congress on Constitutional Law, which takes place from March 29 to 31, and which focuses on the theme of “the Constitution and the Crisis”.
Other speakers present include, from Portugal, the newly-elected President of the Portuguese Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, as well as Professors Jorge Miranda, Carlos Blanco de Morais, Eduardo Vera-Cruz, Rui Ramos, Maria Lúcia Amaral, Paula Costa e Silva, Luís Morais and Miguel Prata Roque, and Councillor António Henriques Gaspar (President of the Supreme Court of Justice) and economist Vítor Bento.
Representing Brazil, the list of speakers includes Professors Michel Temer (Vice-President of the Republic of Brazil), Gilmar Mendes (Minister of the Supreme Federal Court), Manoel Gonçalves Ferreira Filho (University of São Paulo) and Paulo Gonet Branco (Attorney General of the Republic of Brazil), as well as Dias Toffoli, João Otávio de Noronha, Dias Toffoli, Marco Aurélio Buzzi and Ricardo Villas-Bôas Cuevas (all Ministers of the Supreme Federal Court), José Serra (Senator and former Governor of São Paulo), and Aécio Neves (Senator and leader of PSDB) and Claudio Lamachia (President of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association).
