The contribution provided by SÉRVULO's TMT team in the Chambers TMT Guide 2022 aims to present the reality of the Portuguese TMT market, with special relevance to current trends and developments. The authors note the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the industry's obligation to assess market gaps and adapt to new business opportunities for expansion into areas that were not ready for long periods of confinement and preferential remote work, the constant challenge of technological development, the introduction of the fifth generation of mobile services (5G) in communications networks, approval of the Regulation on the sub-assignment of E.164 numbers from the National Numbering Plan, the harmonised rules on Artificial Intelligence  and also the changes in Consumer Law.
