Ana Rita Paínho and Ana Mira Cordeiro, respectively partner and senior associate in SÉRVULO's TMT and IP departments, are the authors of the Portugal chapter in the guide "Artificial Intelligence 2024", published by Chambers.
In this guide the legal analysis focuses on the recent enactment of the Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA) by the European Parliament, approved in March 2024, scheduled to come into force at the end of April 2024, and to be implemented from 2025. This means that companies have one year to adapt to the new EIA rules.
